Wermom Research

Evidence first. Always cited.

How Wermom turns 500+ peer-reviewed studies and anonymized data from 100,000+ babies into guidance you can trust. Every claim names its source.

Our methodology

Wermom does not publish health claims that aren't traceable to a primary source. Every guidance card in the app follows the same path: a question from real moms, a literature review by our editorial team, a citation to an authoritative body or peer-reviewed study, and a fact-check by the relevant medical advisor before it ships.

We anonymize and aggregate product data — never individual records — to understand patterns: when sleep regressions cluster, which questions spike at which stage, where guidance gaps exist. Aggregates inform what we research; published evidence determines what we say.

Research summaries

Sleep patterns at scale

Anonymized aggregates across 100,000+ tracked babies help us map when common sleep regressions appear — reviewed against AAP safe-sleep guidance.

Feeding & weaning windows

Aggregate feeding logs, read alongside ACOG and IBCLC practice, inform our weaning and latch guidance.

Maternal wellbeing signals

Self-check trends inform our perinatal mood guidance, screened against validated PMAD tools.

Sources we cite

Wermom guidance cites recognized authorities and peer-reviewed literature. We do not partner-wash — citing a body does not imply its endorsement.
